Management chatter
Verbatim quotes from named individuals, as reported by Mint and the Zerodha AfterMarket Report.
“Regarding regulatory shifts, proposed insurance distribution commission caps will impact our bancassurance earnings by around ₹150 crore in life insurance, with total fee income reduction across mutual funds and wealth distribution capped at roughly ₹200 crore. Additionally, maintaining average CRR balances at 99% impacts margins by approximately ₹8 crore per month.”
“The next chapter will be about scaling reinvention for our clients and for us. Our three-year financial ambition is to achieve at least mid-single-digit revenue growth in constant currency in fiscal year 2027 (FY27) and FY28, and then a step up in the range of growth from mid-single digit to high-single digit, starting in FY29, and taking market share throughout the entire period.”
“The Indian policy establishment got comfortable with a small current account deficit, given it was a commodity importer. If you see, our current account deficit is essentially a function of oil, gas and gold imports, and we have done nothing seriously to fix it.”
“Once the transaction is successfully concluded this fiscal, it will help the government overshoot the budgeted disinvestment and asset monetisation target.”
“Our thesis is that it’s not about the quantity of fibre available in India, but its quality. The gap between India and the rest of the world, particularly Western markets, is very high.”
“Throughout this year, companies repeatedly ran campaigns urging customers to make their purchases earlier to tackle a weak market. Now, with no special prices and deals, the market is facing an unprecedented decline.”
“We applied five years ago. We still do not have the necessary permission, so we would be very happy to receive it, even a few days before him.”
